Nicaragua / by Madeline Harper

It is only fitting that my first blog post of Harper Photography is about the greatest adventure I have had to date!

This December, I had the privilege of going on a medical mission trip to Nicaragua with an incredible organization named Palmetto Medical Initiative. This group sets up self-sustaining medical centers in developing countries. Now, I have no medical experience, but I do have a passion for capturing stories and sharing what the Lord is doing around the world. This trip opened my eyes to a joyful, strong, and hardworking group of people that let me take endless pictures of them. Words can't describe the amazing stories we watched take place. From seeing a boy named Jose receive the gift of walking that we take for granted daily, to meeting a hundred year old man, to watching the sun set over the Pacific ocean. Here are some of the gorgeous faces and breathtaking places of Nicaragua!
